Tell Us About Your SiteHauling Is in Our Name
Hauling is in our name and a core part of what we do every day. S and S Excavation and Hauling handles debris removal, junk hauling, construction cleanup, demolition material, and bulk material transport across Manchester, Tullahoma, Shelbyville, and the surrounding Middle Tennessee region. Dump trucks, roll-off containers, and full-service cleanup crews are ready for projects that range from a single-load yard cleanup to multi-day construction site clearing.
Our hauling capability covers construction debris removal, storm and tree damage cleanup, full property cleanouts (including estate clearings, foreclosures, and hoarding situations), yard waste, demolition concrete and asphalt, bulk aggregate delivery, and roll-off container rental in 10, 20, 30, and 40 cubic yard sizes. We provide both equipment and crews, so projects that just need a container can rent a roll-off, and projects that need sorting, loading, and disposal coordination can hire a full crew with equipment included.
The hauling side of our business runs alongside our excavation work, which means we already operate the dump trucks, manage the disposal sites, and have the recycling relationships in place to keep cost down and turnaround fast. Most hauling jobs are scheduled within 5 to 7 business days, and storm-event response is often faster. We are not a junk-removal company that subcontracts hauling, we are an excavation contractor with full hauling capability built in.
Hauling Services We Provide
Construction Debris Removal
Demolition material, framing waste, drywall, roofing tear-off, flooring removal, and renovation debris from residential and commercial projects. Roll-off containers staged on site for the project duration, or direct-haul with dump trucks for projects that do not need a container. Scheduled swaps and final-clear at project completion.
Storm and Tree Cleanup
Downed trees, broken branches, and storm debris cleared after weather events. We coordinate tree removal when needed, then haul the cut material and stump debris to disposal. Often same-week or faster turnaround after major storm events because we know how badly the cleanup is needed before the next round of weather arrives.
Property Cleanouts
Estate clearings, foreclosure cleanups, and hoarding situations require full crews with sorting and disposal coordination, not just a container drop. We provide labor crews, manage the sort between donate, recycle, and dispose, and coordinate any specialized handling needed for hazardous or restricted materials encountered during the cleanout.
Yard Waste and Landscape Demo
Bulk leaves, branches, sod removal, and landscape demolition material loaded and hauled in dump trucks or roll-offs depending on volume. Often combined with our grading work when landscape redesign requires removing the existing material before new ground prep begins on the site.
Demolition Material
Concrete, asphalt, and brick from demolition projects loaded and hauled to recycling or disposal. Concrete and asphalt are crushed for reuse as fill or aggregate where practical, which reduces landfill cost and is reflected in the project pricing. Steel and metal go to scrap recyclers separately.
Roll-Off Container Rental
10, 20, 30, and 40 cubic yard containers delivered and picked up. 10 yard for small renovations, 20 yard for typical construction projects, 30 yard for large remodels, and 40 yard for whole-house demolition or massive cleanups. Standard 7-day rental with extension available at $25 to $50 per day.
Our Hauling Process
Quote and Schedule
We discuss the project, scope the equipment and crew needed, and provide a written quote. Most jobs are quoted by phone for standard hauling and on-site for larger cleanouts. Standard scheduling is 5 to 7 business days; emergency response is often faster after storm events or for time-critical situations.
Equipment Delivery
Roll-off containers are delivered to the job site at the agreed location. Dump trucks arrive ready to load for direct-haul jobs. We confirm placement to avoid damaging driveways or landscaping and discuss timing for swaps if the project will fill multiple containers over the course of the work.
Loading and Hauling
For self-load roll-offs, you fill at your own pace within the rental window. For full-service jobs, our crew handles the loading, sorting, and any specialized handling required. Hauling runs to recycling, transfer stations, or landfill depending on material type, with diversion to recycling wherever it is cost-effective.
Pickup and Final Clear
Containers are picked up at the end of the rental period or when the project is complete. Final-clear sweeps after construction projects ensure the site is ready for the next phase or final inspection. Disposal documentation is provided where required for permitted projects.
Hauling and Cleanup Projects

Why Choose S and S for Hauling
Dump Trucks Plus Roll-Offs
Single-axle and tandem dump trucks plus 10, 20, 30, and 40 yard roll-off containers in our fleet. We bring the right equipment for the job rather than forcing every project into the same container size or making you rent a container when a single dump truck load would have been cheaper.
Property Cleanout Crews
Full-service crews for estate clearings, foreclosure cleanups, and hoarding situations where the project needs labor and sorting, not just a container. Our crews handle the heavy lifting and the disposal coordination so the property is ready for the next step, whether that is sale, renovation, or new occupancy.
Storm Cleanup Response
Tree damage, downed branches, and storm debris haul-away with often same-week response after major weather events. We know how disruptive a yard full of fallen trees is after a storm, and we prioritize cleanup scheduling so properties are safe and usable again as fast as possible.
Construction Site Cleanup
Roll-off containers staged, swapped, and final-cleared for project completion. We coordinate with the project schedule so containers are on site when needed and removed before they slow the project down. Final-clear sweeps leave the site ready for inspection without the contractor having to do a separate cleanup pass.
Recycling Diversion
Concrete and asphalt crushed for reuse, metal sent to scrap recyclers, wood ground for mulch or biomass fuel, cardboard and paper to recycling facility. Diversion reduces landfill cost and environmental impact, and the savings are reflected in the project pricing rather than padded into the margin.
Same-Week Service
Most hauling jobs are scheduled within 5 to 7 business days from quote acceptance. Emergency response after storms or for time-critical projects is often faster. We do not have weeks-long backlogs because hauling runs alongside our excavation work, which keeps our equipment and crews moving every day.
Junk Hauling FAQs
How much does junk hauling cost in Middle TN?
A single dump truck load (5 to 7 cubic yards) runs $250 to $550 depending on distance and material type. A tandem dump load (12 to 15 cubic yards) runs $450 to $950. Roll-off rentals: 10 yard runs $350 to $650, 20 yard runs $450 to $850, 30 yard runs $650 to $1,150, and 40 yard runs $850 to $1,450, all including delivery, pickup, and disposal. Call (931) 636-7713 for a quote.
How long can I keep a roll-off container?
Standard rental period is 7 days, which fits most renovation and cleanup projects. Additional days run $25 to $50 per day depending on container size. Longer rentals are available for ongoing construction projects, and we can arrange swap-out service when a single container is not enough for the full project volume.
Can you handle a property cleanout?
Yes. Estate clearings, foreclosure cleanups, and hoarding situations are part of our regular work. Full crews with sorting and disposal coordination, custom-quoted by scope. Prices typically run $1,200 to $8,500 plus depending on the volume of material, the level of sorting required, and any specialized handling needed for hazardous or restricted items.
What can you not haul?
Some materials require specialized handling and are not in our scope: hazardous waste (chemicals, paints in bulk, oils), asbestos-containing material, medical waste, and live animals or carcasses. We coordinate with licensed handlers for these when encountered. Most construction debris, household goods, and demolition material we handle directly without restriction.
Do you do storm cleanup?
Yes. Tree damage, downed branches, and storm debris cleanup is a regular service, often with same-week response after major storm events. We coordinate tree removal when the cleanup requires cutting before hauling, and we prioritize storm response so properties are safe and accessible again as quickly as possible after weather events.
Do you recycle?
Yes. Concrete and asphalt are crushed for reuse as fill or aggregate, metal goes to scrap recyclers, wood is ground for mulch or biomass fuel, and cardboard and paper go to recycling facilities. Diversion reduces landfill cost and environmental impact, and the savings show up in project pricing rather than getting absorbed as margin.
How fast can you deliver a roll-off?
Typically within 1 to 3 business days for standard sizes from quote acceptance. Same-day delivery is sometimes available for emergencies depending on container availability and route schedule. Call as early as practical for the smoothest scheduling, particularly for larger 30 and 40 yard containers that move on a tighter rotation.
